War 2 Box Office Day 16: Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR’s high-octane spy action thriller has entered its third week in theatres but continues to witness a steep downfall in collections. Despite a grand opening and strong star power, the Ayan Mukerji directorial could not even touch the ₹1 crore mark on its 16th day.

After wrapping up Week 2 with a massive 86.84% drop in earnings, the film collected only ₹68 lakh net on its third Friday (Day 16), as per early estimates by industry tracker Sacnilk.
The total domestic box office collection of War 2 now stands at ₹231.93 crore net. The film also recorded a low 8.24% Hindi occupancy on August 29, reflecting declining footfalls.
War 2 Opening Day & Early Box Office Highlights
Despite facing a box office clash with Rajinikanth’s Coolie on August 14, War 2 managed to make an explosive start by earning ₹52 crore net on Day 1.
The film further saw an 11.25% jump on Day 2, minting ₹57.85 crore net, positioning itself as one of the biggest openers of 2025. However, after a strong opening weekend, the collections started sliding in the second week.
War 2 Worldwide Box Office Collection
In 15 days, War 2 has grossed ₹352.75 crore worldwide. Out of this, ₹276.25 crore gross came from the domestic market, while ₹76.50 crore gross came from overseas collections.
Despite crossing the ₹350 crore global mark, the film’s declining pace in India is a concern for the makers.

Fans waiting for War 2 OTT release can rejoice as the movie will be available on Netflix after its theatrical run.
While an official digital premiere date has not been announced, big-budget Bollywood films usually release online 6 to 8 weeks after theatrical debut. Going by this trend, War 2 is expected to stream between September 25 and October 9, 2025.
