Jolly LLB 3 Review & Rating

Jolly LLB 3, directed by Subhash Kapoor, reunites Akshay Kumar, Arshad Warsi, and Saurabh Shukla in the popular courtroom comedy-drama franchise. Unfortunately, this third installment turns out to be the weakest film in the series, weighed down by a stretched runtime, verbose courtroom scenes, and underwhelming storytelling.

Plot Overview

This time, audiences get two Jollys for the price of one—

  • Jagdishwar Mishra (Akshay Kumar)
  • Jagdish Tyagi (Arshad Warsi)

Initially pitted against each other in a Delhi court, their rivalry soon gives way to a common cause: fighting for poor farmers caught in a massive land fraud scandal.

At the heart of the case is Seema Biswas, playing an elderly woman who travels from Rajasthan to Delhi—goats in tow—after a farmer and his daughter-in-law tragically take their own lives. The Jollys must confront corrupt builders like Haribhai Khetan (Gajraj Rao) and a nexus of powerful accomplices, including politicians, judges, and middlemen.

What Works

  • Saurabh Shukla as Judge Sundar Lal remains the highlight of the film, delivering both laughter and gravitas. His flirtatious track with cop Shilpa Shukla offers some comic relief.
  • The anti-establishment theme—farmers vs. corrupt builders and powerful elites—feels bold and socially relevant.
  • Gajraj Rao and Ram Kapoor play their antagonist roles well, adding tension to courtroom drama.

What Doesn’t Work

  • Weak Storytelling: Unlike Jolly LLB 2, which balanced humor and strong drama, this film relies on basic, predictable writing.
  • Slow Pacing: The courtroom rivalry drags, making the film feel longer than necessary.
  • Underused Cast: Big names like Huma Qureshi and Amrita Rao barely get screen time, reducing their roles to fillers.
  • Over-the-top Drama: Heavy courtroom speeches, dharnas, and melodramatic outbursts dilute the impact.

Final Verdict

Jolly LLB 3 had all the right ingredients—big stars, a relevant social message, and a successful franchise background. Yet, it stumbles due to weak execution and over-stretched courtroom theatrics.

👉 If you’re a fan of Akshay Kumar or Arshad Warsi, you might watch it once. But compared to its predecessors, this is clearly the weakest Jolly LLB movie so far.
