Dhadak 2, the much-anticipated Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil film Pariyerum Perumal, directed by Shazia Iqbal, hit theatres on August 1 with high expectations. Starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri, the film received mostly positive reviews but is finding it difficult to translate that acclaim into box office success.
Dhadak 2 Box Office Collection – Day 4:
According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Dhadak 2 earned just ₹1.04 crore on its first Monday (Day 4)—its lowest single-day collection so far. The film recorded its highest earnings on Sunday with ₹4.15 crore.
🔹 Total 4-Day Collection: ₹12.80 crore
🔹 Day 4 Hindi Occupancy: 12.75% (All-India)
Fierce Box Office Competition Hurts Dhadak 2
Despite a promising cast and emotional storyline, Dhadak 2 is facing intense competition from multiple releases:
- Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 – ₹27.25 crore (so far)
- Animated epic Mahavatar Narsimha
- Romantic blockbuster Saiyaara – nearing ₹300 crore
These films have collectively impacted Dhadak 2’s box office performance, especially since the film didn’t show significant growth over the weekend.
Box Office Outlook
With Monday’s dip and the film lagging behind its competitors, Dhadak 2 will need strong weekday hold and positive word-of-mouth to stay afloat. As of now, it trails far behind Son of Sardaar 2, which has more than doubled its earnings in the same time frame.
